Cross-channel trip sets world record

A SOLDIER originally from Plymouth who broke his back in an explosion in Afghanistan has helped set a world record.

Peter Brooks was part of a four-man British Sub Aqua Club-backed team to cross the English Channel on tiny sea scooters.
